About Ron Priest

Ron Priest
If you’ve already read about me on my website, then I’ll not bore you with the same stuff and I’ll be a little less formal and tell you a bit more about me on a more personal scale.
I have two adult daughters. The oldest lives here in Kentucky close to me. She has 3 children, 2 girls and the youngest a boy ready to start kindergarden. My younger daughter lives with her husband, little girl and the baby boy in Minnesota, which I don’t see as often. Actually I have yet to meet my youngest grandson but I have pictures if you would like to see em!
I and my dog Sparky moved to Kentucky in 2002. After having Sparky for almost 11 years, he got sick and I had to put him to sleep in July of 2011. I think that was about the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. We were for sure the best of palls, I miss him dearly. About 12 weeks later, I decided it was time to get another dog and I found a 6 month old puppy in a shelter which I know was there just waiting for me. So, I adopted him and named him Jasper. He’s really cute, and keeps me on my toes. He reminds me more of a Hoover vacuum cleaner, he sucks up everything in his path.
Jasper and I live about 35 miles south of Louisville, in Radcliff, Kentucky close to Fort Knox, which makes it convenient since I am retired Air Force and benefit from the medical facilities and commissary on post (see my Bio on my website). This year, 2011, is my 9th wedding season here in Kentucky. Wedding video has always been my passion. Why you may ask? I suppose it’s my own little way of achieving immortality, If I can be a part of a young couples memories on their wedding day for generations to come, then that’s my legacy. Also, it’s because I still believe in preserving the sanctity of marriage.
As mentioned on my website, I’m the soul propitiator of RPriest Videography (formerly doing business as Digital Creations Video Productions). I hire other videographers to help me shoot, but do all of the postproduction work myself. I’m pretty much an Apple Fan Boy. I crossed over to “the dark side” as they say, back in 2006 when I got my first Mac and I’ve been hooked ever since. I now work only on Macs, and I edit in Final Cut Pro. I love Apple!
So anyway, that’s probably more than you want to know about me, if you want to know more, just ask. If you’re looking for a videographer, please look around the blogsite, you’ll find plenty of my work. All of the videos here on the Blogsite are hosted at Vimeo.com which means you can view them in HD from here on your computer or your mobile device iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or even your Android… I’ve been told. If you have an Apple TV box, you can even view them via Vimeo on your HDTV. Look around, and don’t be afraid to ask me questions, I would be glad to help in any way I can.
